Pests

It was cloudier and not as warm. I sat out for a bit with a new book. Something about Ailsa and her curious heart. It’s good anyway. I was irritated by the hideous number of flying insects missing round me. There are 2 on the orange flower in my photo. Are they hover flies? We seem to have a plague of them.
This evening I had to go into school for a meeting with new parents whose children are coming up to us in September. I like checking them out for the first time and imagining what their children are going to be like.
