A New Flower for Me

We went out to lunch at a garden cafe and I saw these very tall striking flowers; I have no idea what they are.

Later today the sky opened and hail and gushes of rain came down.....then there was the thunder and lightning....we lost power for several hours. Thankfully Ellie and I had planned to go to our son's house, so we didn't suffered from the outage. It was fixed by 9PM.
