Occasionally Focused

Milky Way, and Jupiter in Scorpius

I had an emergency shot of our fire, but then realised there was no moon, and looking overhead I saw Scorpius, where is to be found a particularly dense patch of the Milky Way - so I decided I'd break out the Astrotracer. Focus is difficult. It was easy with my old 28mm Takumar Bayonet, as you could just set it to infinity. For some bizarre reason that doesn't work with modern/digital lenses. Grumble. So I'm not well-pleased with the focus on this. I do like it overall though.

(Now that said Tak bae 28mm has a borked focus ring maybe I should just set it to infinity and call it an Astro lens... hmmm ...)
