Cat and house story

I have very fond memories of childhood holidays in this very house (the story) and if you look closely a cat has found a prime surveying spot.

We headed west today, thinking we'd get reasonable weather (never trust yesterday's weather app scan) and instead it turned rather damp and unpleasant. We did sit in a bird hide for a while but nothing much to see (sensible birds) and I'm afraid we couldn't face trudging in drizzle to see a few puffins and terns. All teashops en route have either closed permanently or definitely on a Weds, so we resorted to plant therapy instead and came home loaded with much more than we intended. When the weather cheers up I wil go and enjoy planting them out ...

Sewing here tonight and the female hen harrier gave us a fly past again - lovely to see her.
