totem pole and moon

The city of Duncan has a new totem pole. It is placed beside the well lit glass bus shelter. It came upon the midnight clear, sort of.

"Calvin Hunt carved a new 34 foot totem pole in celebration of the City of
Duncan's first 100 years of incorporation."

"The Centennial Totem Pole will include (from the top) Eagle, Guardian Spirit holding a canoe, William Chalmers Duncan, Thunderbird, Killer Whale, and Chief Makers Woman Representative holding a frog. These figures are based on stories of the Cowichan Valley Tribes. On the back of the totem pole are five salmon, representing the five original Tribes, with tertiary lines that represent fish weirs and water splashes that represent the mountains and the rivers within the area. This pole reflects the story of the City's history and how the people view our community." (City of Duncan Press Release)

I used my Yongnuo 460-II flash set on the camera to highlight the totem pole.
I applied perspective correction using Corel Paintshop Pro X4.
