Anniversary Dinner

Tonight we went to Taco Maria (a Michelin starred mexican restaurant in our area) for our 14th anniversary. We did the prix fixe menu with wine pairings. It was fantastic.

Left to right, top to bottom—
(1) Endfrijolada: bean purée, lavender onions, queso fresco, garlic crema. Wine: Kiràludyvar Tokaji Furmint Sec 2015.
(2) Callo Gratindo: scallop, queso chihuahua, squid ink crumbs, chile ancho. Wine: Leth Rotter Veltliner 2017z
(3) Pescado Zarandeado: striped bass, potatoes, chile poblano, rapini, anchovy. Wine: Swick Grenache Blanc Columbia Valley 2017.
(4) Mole de Cacahuate: Skirt steak, peanut mole, pea tendrils. Wine: Vigne del Molina Cabernet Franc Venezia Giulia 2011.
