A splash of colour

I decided these canopies would be a splash of colour on an otherwise drench day. The photograph shows the The Old Schoolhouse pub, formerly a school, and now part of the Academy shopping centre. Strange to recall that only a few days ago we were sitting outside in the courtyard behind the pub enjoying the sunshine, and where the canopies are in the picture was packed with people.

Today as I walked past there is nobody. The rain continued more or less uninterrupted all day.
