I have had a horrid morning on the phone and email, chasing overdue invoices. Slow payment is the scourge of the small business and when you are very small it is very personal too.

"I definitely passed it to accounts"
"Susie is on holiday now"
"It just missed the payment run"
"That invoice must have gone missing"

Those same people would be most offended if their own pay cheque was late by one day far less six weeks. 

We have various politicians making fantastic promises about what they are going to achieve if put in power. Its a bidding war that gets more ridiculous with every day that passes. Tomorrow we will have £100 per hour minimum wage. What about paid holidays for 4 weeks when you get a puppy. 
I would personally be happy with legislation that compels big businesses to pay their bills on time  

Nothing constructive achieved by late morning, I took Caley up Bohuntin Hill to clear the head.
