Exploring Trier

Today Bert and I (after a lovely night sleep under cotton sheets) explored Trier. Trier has some beautiful buildings like the Dom (and the inner courtyard on the photo) and Porta Nigra and I was mightily impressed by the baroque ceiling of the Paulis church (see extra). However, the old town is also riddled with modern buildings (probably after bomb damage from WWII) and not very enticing shops. Nice though to explore for a day.
