How much is an English course?

asked the man at Turkish Grill, the yummy little place near work where I can get healthy food cheaply. He asked me in Arabic, he knows I know a few words. I told him, he corrected my grammar and I concluded silently that it’s probably more than his monthly salary. The coke came as a freebie, maybe an enticement for a discount? Probably not but it’s sad I can’t help as many as I’d like to. There’s just not the time.

Lots of marking today and very happy teens, although also a bit nervous at the thought of interviewing students in another class in English. Well out of their comfort zone but I know they’ll be fine.
