Weather in the Faroes...

... is always an unpredictable business. They certainly do have weather and we have been very lucky. The main picture shows you Torshavn harbour from our hotel window this morning, very misty and a bit drizzly. We went up towards the top of the main island and the weather improved remarkably although we were still presented with lots of moody mountains and wet sheep. We did have our wet weather gear with us but the anorak was enough.
The two sea stacks in first extra are said to be trolls from Iceland who were turned to stone by the sun as they tried to drag the Faroe islands over to Iceland.
