Anne's Daily Encounters

North West Crete in sunset

Unforeseen we suddenly went to Chania hospital, where sweetheart's nephew had been taken after a road incident. Ofcourse we and his parents were alarmed by the news and shocked; luckily the young man is not and was not dangerously injured (broken ribs and broken collar bone). However I was surprised to find that lots of the nursing work on him (and others) is done by private nursing aids (that must be hired in by the patient or relatives) as hospitals here are understaffed and nurses don't do basic skilled jobs anymore ~  I hope we never reach that status elsewhere in Europe's hospitals! and it should be reversed here too.

This sunset view I got from Chania's hospital.
Friday again... so Happy Weekend to you all Blippers! and many thanks for all your stars and reactions of late; always a pleasure to find your reactions!
