School Boy and Sweet Peas

Picking Zion up from school, poor lad was shattered, school, especially on such a hot day, is hard work for a little one. He'd written a sentence, beginning with, "I predict..." about a book we'd read a few nights ago, The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch, so he actually knew what would happen, but he reckoned his teacher hadn't guessed that, ummm...

Mike has been busy most of the day, cutting all the hedges and wheelbarrowing all the cuttings to the Dump.

More good-byes, Ju to Manchester; sister and husband to Heathrow, for Texas.

Gratefuls:
- an utterly gorgeous posy of sweet peas, brought round by Geoff, been perfuming the kitchen all day
- our neighbour in Mourão, ringing to say he was filling our water tank because he'd heard we had no water, what a neighbour!
- Deb making us a delicious sea bass dinner, eaten in the garden with Paul and Beth
