Late evening cloudscape

I had a blip in the bag from the allotment; a plot that has not been cultivated this year and is a mass of flowers and grasses which while not being productive in the normal sense looked attractive and is a haven for insect life especially pollinators.

However, late in the day, after dinner, when we were clearing up the setting sun caught these wispy clouds giving a fine, colourful and solid looking cloudscape.

Gym and swim this morning and a quick visit to the allotment to dig some spuds and pick the first beetroot, some more courgettes and radishes and probably the final strawberries. This year’s new potatoes are very good, very clean and hens egg size as they should be.

Our friends arrived at about 3.30 so since then it’s been talking, cooking, eating, clearing up and more talking - and for Paul and I a snooze!
