Curlew #72

We headed to Anglesey this morning for our long weekend - sunshine all the way. Stopped off at Nature reserve along the Menai Strait called Gwarchodfa which was rather nice. The tide was coming in and pushing all the birds from the shore. We spent ages watching the swallows and house martins catching flies to feed the young fledglings, but there were quite a lot of curlews escaping the incoming tide.
We also saw with many Meadow Brown, ringlets and skipper butterflies which was lovely, After our walk we went to the Spinnies in search of the kingfishers, but they were distinctly absent today. Plenty of other things to see though.
Arrived at Henllys around 4pm, relaxed a while and then went to Harry's, the onsite restaurant for our evening meal and it was delicious!
