Strange fungi

With all the madness of christmas and the catching up with family, my poor dogs have had to make do with short little walks. So today i decided to take them out for a long hour walk (some of it they got carried due to the extreme muddiness of it) i took them around the local wood and it was lovely. I caught the tail end of a festive walk that was going on where some of the people were dressed in their festive hats. I also came across this strange looking fungi.
