Early movies

Today l was visiting my friend in Watford. She lives close to a park where a Heritage Trail that opened today called Minds, Machines and Movies is housed. We wandered around the park looking at the various sculptures which celebrated the roles that the Leavesden Aerodrome played during World War II and later became the site of Eon Productions movie makers where Goldeneye was produced and more recently the Harry Potter films. This sculpture shows a moving image of Charlie Chaplin running when a disc is spun round. It also had sculptures relating to the old mental hospital that is now an area of housing.

I had a lovely time catching up with my friend and it’s so good to see that her walking is at last beginning to improve.

Off for an Italian meal tonight with family.
