Just playing around since my camera shots did not work out today.

These Sum and Substance hostas can grow to 9 feet in diameter at maturity. I love to see what collects in the leaves under the pine trees. A gift from our grower friend SR, they are halfway there after about seven years. Which begs the question about how many plant years a hosta needs to mature. It probably depends on growing conditions.

We had another 1.5 inches of rain overnight! Some of the Lake Erie beaches are closed due to the high lake water drowning the beaches and dangerous erosion of the cliffs.
