Sunday Brunch
Some friends told us about an 'Australia Day' breakfast held today at the local cheese factory and restaurant. The chef is an Aussie married to an Austrian lady who is a waitress at the restaurant. He wanted to do an Australia Day breakfast in our summer - a bit like having Christmas in July, I suppose, but in reverse. The menu had about 5 choices with an Austrian breakfast option as well. The food was excellent and the setting by the lake was lovely - see extra. I hope he does it again.
We went on to another village to a street market which had a lot of quality hand made crafts, food and the ubiquitous Schnapps. Marching bands and horse drawn carriage rides are pretty traditional at these type of events. The weather turned nasty and a storm threatened so we returned to our friends' place for coffee.
