Another day, another cycle ride

Train/s to Ravensthorpe > cycled along the Spen Valley Greenway to The Coffee Counter near Liversedge for breakfast (bumped into someone we used to work with and haven't seen for 15 years... small world!) > cycled back along the Greenway and joined the cycleway to Huddersfield > quick drink at The Head of Steam > train back to Bradford > cycled home along the cycleway/canal with 2 refreshment stops at Salts Bar and The Fishermans :-)

I love the Spen Valley Greenway but the route 69 cycleway into Huddersfield was grim to be honest and I would NOT want to cycle it on my own. Lots of broken glass, burnt out shopping trollies and crap everywhere. Didn't see any other cyclists either which was quite telling, especially given how busy the Spen Valley Greenway was. Also, looking back, the reactions we got from the people we told where we going weren't dissimilar to the reaction Jonathan Harker got in Dracula when he told the Transylvanian locals where he was headed ;-)
