Day out in the city

We are going to the very heart of the city today, we are country people who enjoy the country life style of wide open spaces to run and roam, surrounded by green green grass and massive gum trees. Every year we take the girls on an overnight outing to the city, they are all very excited Maddie has fond memories of it from last year.

We arrived early, girls were very keen to check out the hotel pool one of the highlights for them is to find the hotel pool and go for a swim, and the elevator is always a big novelty for them, we always take guesses as to what lift door will open first, something they all love and never get tired of. Check in time was not until 2, so we wondered around this big colourful city we live in. Girls had smiles plastered on their faces at all the busy action going on around them, we headed down to the david jones under ground food court, where the girls looked around at all the yummy food, there was so much to choose from. Maddie remembered this spot from last year, it is a place we visit whenever we are in the city.

We walked back to the hotel along south bank, it was busting with interesting people artistes of amazing talents, Maddie was in awe as we walked along and looked at their fabulous street art all drawn on the floor. There was a man using spray cans to paint a fantastic painting, every few meres there was someone else to stop and watch. It was a real experience that the girls will remember. Maddie compared it to a museum.

The pool was gigantic, with a hot tub as well. We spent the remandier of the day in here, and then showred and dressed for dinner. Maddie wanted to go to the restaurant that we had visited last time, they had supplied colouring textures and books so they had won over all the girls well and truelly.

After dinner we walked a block up the street to fed square, where Ben had organised a horse and carriage. The girls were jumping out of their skins, they felt like princess going to the ball, waving a giggling to people walking bye. We passed the shine of remembrance and the girls were taken by the flame that was burning, after a lengthy talk about it girls were very fascinated by it. I think it will be another day trip to visit it.

After the ride it was a little walk back and I could tell girls were very tired, they were quite. We are off to the movies early tomorrow at crown.
