Making a start on a new project

A gardening day today,  I’ve been sorting out pots and containers and Mervyn has made a start on the low wall that will contain a new gravelled seating area.  It’s never been a good place for growing grass because a shallow area of soil (and weeds) cover the area where the outside toilet block was originally sited.  I’ve also marked out an area to one side where we can create another flower bed (perhaps with trellis and climbers) so that we have some privacy in this part of the garden.

One of the first Small Tortoiseshell Butterflies that have enjoyed the flowers this year.  (Extra)
