Highcliffe Castle

Highcliffe Castle, was built between 1831 and 1835 in a Gothic Revival style The design, by William Donthorne, a founder member of RIBA, incorporated large quantities of carved Medieval stonework salvaged from the ruined Benedictine Abbey of St Peter at Jumieges and the Grand' Maison des Andelys, both situated in Normandy, France.
