Culture?

Bonfires have been a part of the history of this place I call home for decades. They are prolific in what we call "loyalist" (Protestant) communities. They mark territory. This one has taken over a public car park beside my office! The debate is whether "tradition" is the sole arbiter of something continuing to take place.. Or whether we need to have new ways of being together.
