The hill are alive.........

..........with burning heather!

Spotted this while heading out of town. Had no idea what was going on at first, but Dad informs me that this is normal. They apparently burn the heather on an annual basis and this is what it looks like.

I tried to get as close as I could but, this is it am afraid!
