Islington Wall Murals

On my way to visit my sister this afternoon , I stopped in the village of Islington, near where I grew up. They have decorated a number of walls in the village depicting historical murals of the village through time. This one caught my eye today due to the snow we have received recently. It is dedicated to the village volunteer firefighters and is depicted in the 1940's. Back then they would dam up the Mimico river just south of Montgomery's Inn so people could come and enjoy some skating. There are many more beautiful murals I hope to post in the future!
