Drove home today via my friend  Perveen's in Bradford. Her daughter Sairish has recently got her PhD in English from Huddersfield University and has written her first book. She was given proof copies at an event at the Bradford Literary Festival. They gave me a copy and I'm looking forward to reading it. I've had a lovely few days away so now am going to have a few quiet days before operation take 2!!!
