Falkland Palace

Country residence of the Stuart Kings and Queens.
Boasts an impressive and highly carved four poster bed commissioned by James I.
Factoid: Falkland is a tiny hamlet which in 1792 had a workforce of 231 weavers, constituting one-third of the population.
This charming village was bathed in sunlight during my visit so I took the liberty of enjoying half a pint of shandy in the village square, before moving on to visit Aberdour Castle.
