At The Optometrist's

Thanks for all your concern these past days, and for the stars.

AW had an appointment at the optometrist's at 08.00 sharp and, of course, I had to drive him.  The info sheet said that they might apply eyedrops, which could impede sight while driving, but I would have driven him anyway.  Seeing as we both had slept badly, it wasn't difficult to get out of bed early enough.  This poster was hanging in the waiting area.  It looks rather indicative.

Nothing wrong with his vision.  There is, however, a lack of corneal lubrication, and he was given a prescription for ... eyedrops.

On the way home, passed by the pharmacy to pick up rehydration salts and the eyedrops, plus a new box of 1000mg. paracetamol tablets, then back home.  He didn't throw up too much during the day but his appetite is nil (not difficult to imagine why).  At least the salts seem to be working.

Again, genealogy research kept me distracted and various housework kept me otherwise busy, while AW shuttled between the bedroom and the couch, and occasionally the garden.
