I’d forgotten how much fun TVRs can be. Of course after a while the inevitable happens, a slightly strange noise.

We noticed a slightly new noise last night, a little rattle, just a little one. Alf got out to investigate. One of the very expensive handmade exhausts was a bit lower than the other one. Not good.

We brought it home and a quick look underneath revealed one of the exhaust hanger rubbers had failed. Arse.

I called Andrew to see if there were any specific instructions....

He laughed and said it failed every 6 months and was a bit of a bugger to refit.

Turns out it’s a ford part. Cost me £2 and took 10 mins to fit.

Cars built in sheds by blokes really are excellent ;)
