Boring?

Yes, to many people. But boring is something not normally permitted in the Knottman household.

Even people who live in towns are likely to pass several different grasses every day in summer. And if you live in the country there will be lots to see.

But many are not easy to identify. I once went on a half day course on grasses but I have forgotten most of what I was taught.

From left to right I think these are:

Cocksfoot
Meadow Oat Grass
False Brome
Tufted Hair Grass
Crested Dogstail

But I could be wrong and I would be delighted to be put right by a proper botanist.
