Brooding sky

The sun came out today, although briefly, so we hopped down for an extremely blustery walk along the beach at Leven. It was high-tide, so a rather stony walk which isn't as much fun as the expanses of sand revealed at low tide. However, it was just what I needed to blow the cobwebs away.

Kara came back with a very sandy nose. She was very patient when a much bigger dog kept bouncing up to her on her blind side. She stood quietly while he sniffed around, and then when he got too boisterous she just turned towards him, stood on her back legs and gave a low growl. He got the message and left her alone.

I still find it amazing that she has learnt how to deal with other dogs so well, as it is only a year ago since she met untethered dogs for the first time, and she would simply cower and submit. Now she plays nicely, but stands for no nonsense. It is constantly rewarding to see how far a rescue dog can come.
