Pointe de Platé

A more testing day out today, but one I knew would be full of wonder. 
Up to the Passage du Dérochoir, to look into the stunning Desert de Plate (extra 1). The backdrop of the entire Mont Blanc skyline wasn't bad, but this view stole the day. I've often said if it wasn't right next to Mont Blanc and the Chamonix valley this would be a far more famous place to play. As it was I saw only a handful of other people taking the steep cabled way up to what is one of only two ways that people can breach this impressive front wall of the Rochers des Fiz.
Extra two, a welcome home for Hilarysview. Always an honour to spend time in the company of these magnificent creatures.
