It may seem silly, but we did have Cedric Robinson the Ambassador and the new guide Michael Wilson showing us the way.
We were supporting the Northwest Air Ambulance with our friends Denise & Martin, and we had a brilliant day for the 8 mile stroll. Extras show some of the plodging sections - on occasions above our knees, and when one poor dog panicked when he found himself swimming he was unceremoniously hoisted over his owner's shoulder! The children on the walk had a great time, variously singing and going for the total immersion swim towards the end.
A real adventure, and many good causes benefitted - and as it was a gentle stroll mainly on sand my Achilles held up nicely :)
