Sunday, waiting for the Sun

Across to Stromness to take my mother to the Stromness for Sunday carvery; she went for the Ptarmigan fricassee.  Several pints later we got her home.  I bought a Sunday paper – first of the year.  Went in past to see Phyllis; aged 90 she was still keen to talk about the Moon landings.

At home CMC watched the tennis from behind the settee.  I read the Orcadian and I noticed a ‘strimmer convention’ is being held today at Halkirk.  It’s time like this........
