Blue, blue

There's something very special about blue flowers and I do cherish cornflowers, love-in-mist and these blue hydrangeas, especially when their hearts open with that great star shape.

What a sportive and rather exciting day it was today, with the British GP, the Tour de France,  the Giro Rosa, the World Cup 50 over Cricket and the Wimbledon's finals (and the Scottish Open is still on with a play-off !).  Congrats to all the winners. Well done too to all who entered the sportive Abstract Thursday challenge (with or without sportive entries). The list of last week's specials has 3 sportive and 2 other entries, because after all the themes are optional and there are so many ways to take/make/capture an abstract image ! Here's the list:
