Pick Your Own

A view to distant Alps from our local 'pick your own' flower plot. We didn't go for the sunflowers but found a final few lilies to take home. They're a bit runty but I'm sure will bloom fabulously. Maybe.
Earlier we met up with Rosie in Dachs for a roast pork lunch, having very wisely skipped breakfast, then entertained Ali and Carola for most of the afternoon. They brought cake, we supplied coffee and beer, a fine arrangement. It's the first time this trip we've really been able to make use of the terrace, looks like summer may be back. I'm still out there, the sky just went a glorious red after the sun had set, the crows have flown home, I've topped my krug up, all's well.
