Got up early to visit the Miniatur Wunderland, the largest model railway in the world. It was absolutely fantastic. We visited Italy, Switzerland, the various regions of Germany, Denmark and Norway. The models are absolutely fantastic and full of humour. Aliens, ghosts, dragons, a suitcase trolley race at the airport, the Millennium Falcon taking off from the airport, a bee landing. We spent four hours in the wonder world. I was particularly impressed by the ships on the see with working lock and tides. I also really liked a series of small layouts showing the same place throughout the ages, starting with a prehistoric scene until the 1940ies. The place is well worth a visit.
Afterwards we checked out the new opera house which is also impressive. Went for dinner at a punk rock pizza place which was well good. And finished the evening with wine and lots of chatting.
