Holy Island

A fabulous day in glorious weather we feel like we have walked over every inch of this Island that is not an Island  ;o)
We did not walk the causeway but drove over, walked to the Priory first covered the museum and the grounds (main blip) before moving next door to St Mary's church where I took the extra! From there we climbed to the old coastguard tower for some great views, from there we descended back to the village for a pub lunch.
Recharged we set off for the castle, did all the rooms and the ramparts. Then out to the castles "Jekyll Garden" and the Lime Kilns and the beach which in one area is covered by the balance stone crazy. See second extra (I just don't get it).
Walked back to the village partook of tea and cake before walking back to the car and waiting for the tide to uncover the causeway! Tiring but wonderful day!
Thank you for the continued support, comments , stars and favs.
