macro time

This past spring there were several areas in our yard that were too wet to mow for quite a long time. Some of those areas got mowed down to usual height , some were too wet to mow till the July heat wave hit , and one int the far back yard he decided to leave as a minimeadow. Something I had seen suggested in an Audubon article. Well I haven't found too much there till recently .A viceroy butterfly was  the only butterfly I found, but this week there have been damselflies in the one corner almost every day. A lone dragonfly stopped by but did not stay. These two -the female Eastern fork tail in the main blip , and the male have been there almost continuously. I may have to ask him to do this again next year!
