to Step Back in Time

This is the  search room of the Isle of Man Deeds Registry.  I have not been in here for some five years and much has changed in the meantime.

When I last searched the title of any land it was really quite Dickensian.  There were large register books to look through.  Happily those books are still available but the modern records are now kept on computer.

There were two or three people there who remembered me from the old days and they very kindly gave me a hand.

As may be seen it was not too long before I was able to bring the room to a standstill.  We all enjoyed a good joke!

It is a state secret as to why I was here in the first place....
