Sparkley goodbye to 2012

woke up to November rain, Maddie has been playing it constantly over and over again, it is a obsession and how she learns the lyrics, she calls it September to the rain makes me giggle every time she tells someone what her favourite song is and they look to me with a blank look.

Fire trucks have just blasted past in a whirl, in a red and blue frenzy. Dad came runnig around from the back of the house almost at the same time to say he could see smoke,we watched as at least 5 trucks pulled up from up on the hill near our house. A grass fire in the paddock below was being pit out.
The girls are running around all silly hyped up from the noise and energy in the air, also excited to be allowed to stay up late to celebrate the new year. However I doubt they will see it in they are running around burning all their energy and it is still early.

Low key new year with the family, I actually really enjoyed it, BBq with a few cruisers watching the kids perform songs. We waited until it was dark and then did the sparklers they girls went nuts with this there first time doing it. I was nervous with it as I didn't want a trip to the er with burnt hands or faces. They were all very careful, they ran around in the dark with their glowing necklaces and bracelets.

I think they made it to about 10.00pm which is a huge effort for them. Safely tucked away in there bed, they thanked us for the amazing night and said we were the BEST ever. I just want to pause them at this age. Love their little hearts.
