new castle

Arrived in Newcastle as scheduled. We had to hang out at the train station for a while. I used the time to take some photos of the station and its surroundings. The castle is surprisingly old - from 1175. It was built on the site of a Roman fort - hence new castle and thus Newcastle. The journey up North was eventless. We unpacked our bags, filled the washing machine and did some shopping. I also sorted out my photos:
