Repairs

After breaking a tent pole section yesterday (lots of nasty sharp fibreglass) Decathlon came up trumps with repair sections in aluminium. Slightly different length so I now have a spare long section as well.

Nice breeze on the campsite and my gaffer tape came in handy.

Relaxing day around Amiens with much admiring of the car by the French. Seems everyone had one, or their dad did. Not so many old Citroen’s around. One nice 2CV and a couple of Xantias but plenty of modern Cits, the C3 seems to be the most common on the road.

I’m staying in the valley of the Somme so dutifully went to a couple of memorials but it just makes me depressed all these names, and being WW1, no graves. Young Scots off to the slaughter for the Empire.

On to La Ferte-Vidame tomorrow so lots more cars.
