Cape Fur Seals

Day 12: Namibia

Another fantastic day in this amazing country. First thing this morning, we were picked up by a tour guide and driven out to Pelican Point for a kayaking tour. We saw 1000s of Lesser Flamingoes on the way out. The kayaking was wonderful. We had no sooner gone in the water and the Cape Fur Seals surrounded our boats in a playful manner. When we put our fists in the water they came up and ‘kissed’ them! They chewed on our paddles and followed/swam with us for over an hour.

In the afternoon, we were in two vehicles and did a drive across the dunes to Sandwich Bay. The boys loved the experience of driving up and down sand dunes. Lunch was served with sparkling wine, oysters and other delicious food.
What an amazing day! See extras too.

A short drive late afternoon took us up the coast to a campsite in Swakomund.
