On the beach

Today we went with the children to Tepuna quarry park and saw lots of statues and Maori carvings. We did a bush walk and climbed up to a waterfall which involved crossing two streams which our 5 year old grandson loved! Then we went to see sculptures of the Hairy Maclary characters and a play park. After lunch and our youngest grandson’s sleep we went to the beach beside Mount Maunganui which is an extinct volcano. By then the clouds came in but they had a great time. After that we all had ice creams and then to another play park. We had to make the most of the good weather as tomorrow is going to be very wet!
