NewQuay Zoo

We had our annual fix at the Zoo today. We always love our visit here and as usual the exotic birds and the Meerkats are favourite but today we have another, the Asian Short-Clawed Otters and we actually got to feed them.  Mum and Dad have produced a great litter this year and we spent ages watching them have time out after their late afternoon feed.    The Zoo’s presenter gave a great talk on the Otters and also at the Penguin feeding time, and introduced us to ‘Pickle’ a hand reared Penguin who is more human than Penguin so sadly doesn’t have a penguin mate or family like all the others.
 
My blip is of a female Bleeding Heart Dove, her mate in extra along with Meerkats, Otters and ‘Pickle’ the Penguin.
