Upwards and onwards...

Although it is recess I was in the Parliament today. Ministers have continuing obligations and most recess weeks I will spend at least a day in Edinburgh, with the rest in the constituency.

There is a lot of reconditioning, repair and reworking of the building going on in this comparatively quiet time so not only is the canteen closed but two of the lifts in the block where I have my office are being replaced and wont be back in use until the beginning of September.

In the one I did manage to find working today I was pleased to see these posters celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Parliament, with what I think is a clever logo, incorporating as it does the shape and seating of the chamber itself.
