Mound

While I do appreciate the aesthetic simplicity of Clifford’s Tower perched atop it’s mown, grass mound, I wonder what it would be like if they stopped mowing, encouraged wildflowers and native plants and let the butterflies and bees take over.

I was in York for the day for a work event but had time for a short wander through town afterwards.
