It's a long while since I've driven so far down the M1. I'd first thought not since about 1975, driving back to my parents in Pinner, but now I remember that I took my daughter and her friend to a karate competition near Gatwick in 1998 ish. Even so, that's twenty years ago!

And now I'm waiting for my hot panini to arrive, and then an early bed as I have to be at the airport by 6am.
